Privacy Policy

Effective 1 September 2026 · Last updated 25 September 2026

vevold is built and operated by VORVN LIMITED (Hong Kong Business Registration No. 73761358), RM4 16/F, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2–16 Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect through vevold.com, why, and the choices you have. It also serves as our Personal Information Collection Statement under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

1. What we collect

What you give us: your email address, name, the role that best describes your work, your country, your answers to the optional questionnaire, the invitation code you used, and anything you write through the contact form.

What we receive automatically when you sign up or write to us: your IP address, the approximate location derived from it by our network provider (country, region, city), device type, browser language and user agent, time zone, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), and the date and time.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics profiles. We count visits with cookieless analytics: Umami, which we host ourselves, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. They record pages viewed, the referring site, approximate country, device type and a few anonymous actions such as starting a signup, never your name or email, and they do not follow you across other websites. We store one functional cookie that remembers your language, and your browser keeps your questionnaire progress locally so you can resume it.

2. Why we use it

To manage the waitlist and invitations, confirm your email address, and give you your personal invite link.

To send you updates about the vevold private beta and launch, with your consent (see section 3).

To understand who is joining — in aggregate — so we can build the right product for creative people: which tools you use, where your work lives, what slows you down.

To keep the service secure and fair: prevent spam, fake signups and referral abuse (including rate limits and a captcha), and to answer your messages and comply with the law.

3. Direct marketing

When you request early access, you agree to receive emails from us about vevold: your confirmation, beta invitations, product news and launch updates. We will not use your data for direct marketing without this consent, and we never sell it or give it to others for their marketing.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw consent at any time through our contact page, free of charge.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

Consent, for marketing emails and the optional questionnaire. Steps you ask us to take, for the waitlist, invitations and replies. Our legitimate interests, for security, abuse prevention and understanding our audience in aggregate.

5. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, security and captcha), Supabase (database hosting) and our own mail server. We may disclose data where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Your data is stored in Japan (Tokyo) and may be processed through Cloudflare's global network, including outside Hong Kong and the EEA. We rely on our providers' contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required, to protect it to a comparable standard.

7. How long we keep it

Waitlist data is kept while the private beta runs and for up to 24 months after vevold's public launch, or until you ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. We then delete or anonymise the data.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal data (under the PDPO we respond to access and correction requests within 40 days), withdraw consent, ask us to delete your data, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR — you may also have the right to restrict processing, receive a copy of your data, and complain to your data protection authority.

To make a request, use our contact page and choose "Privacy / legal". We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

9. Security

Data travels over HTTPS, database access is restricted to our servers, and team access is protected by multi-factor controls. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a serious breach where the law requires it.

10. Children

vevold is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the data.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
